Case Study :
Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Programs focus on children’s holistic development from birth to age 6, before they enter the formal education system. Pre-schoolers, especially the poorest and most disadvantaged, who receive quality ECCE are more likely to be healthy, ready to learn, and stay longer and perform better in school.
Empowering parents and communities for responsive caregiving
The responsive caregiving programme helps parents understand how to support their child’s learning at home. This 18 session long programme allows parents to experience the power of play and encourages parents to play fun games with their children at home, offering multiple opportunities for children to learn new things and practice various skills. The responsive caregiving programme is based on the Aakar curriculum which is the state curriculum for Early Childhood Education and includes activities from all the domains of development.
